Is your Outlook overflowing with emails that you want to keep but just don’t have the time to deal with right now?

Keep it organised by setting up ‘rules’ that can automate your inbox actions. For example, have certain emails automatically transferred to a particular folder when they arrive; or sound an alert for emails from a particular sender; or automatically forward on messages with a certain subject line. There is a whole range of possibilities.

Find the “Rules” button in the home ribbon toolbar (see pic below):

“Two-factor authentication” sounds fancy but it’s just a techy way of saying there are two layers of protection applied to an online account – your ordinary password, and another code usually SMS’d to you. So, if someone gets hold of your password, they still won’t be able to access your account.

If you haven’t already got “two-factor authentication” for your online banking, ask your bank for it now!
You can also follow these links to setup it up on your Google or Apple accounts.

If you were lucky enough to get a new smartphone, tablet or laptop for Christmas consider recycling your old one through the free services of Mobile Muster or TechCollect.

Remember to backup and remove all personal data from the device and reset it to factory settings as an added security measure. Check out the data management advice here and here, and/or consult the manufacturer’s guide.
